In the Top School Rankings published by the Department of Education and Training, Kogarah High School was placed 198 out of 7683 public and private high schools

Excellent individual results in Physics, Maths Extension 1 and Extension 2, Business Studies, Hospitality, English, Computing and Society & Culture to name a few

Over 80% of students progress to University or TAFE for further study

In 2000 received the Director General�s School Achievement Award for student achievement , participation and higher literacy outcomes

Year 7 Organisation

A special class for the gifted and talented with a maximum of 20 students.  Starts in Year 7 and Goes through to Year 10

Small classes�our policy is to limit Year 7 classes to about 24 students

A teams approach where all Year 7 teachers meet every two weeks after school to:

Plan teaching activities together

Discuss teaching strategies

Monitor each student�s academic progress

Consider welfare issues
